Story
Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is one of the most popular Buddhist pilgrimage site in Myanmar, at the top of Mount Kyaiktiyo. The stupa is built on the top of a big granite boulder, the Golden Rock, that seems to defy gravity because it appears to be on the verge of rolling down the mountain. According to the legend the Golden Rock is in balance because it’s above a lock of Buddha’s magical hair. People undertakes the pilgrimage to purify their hearts and flower their minds.
